Novo Nordisk and Valo Health Announce $2.7 Billion AI-Driven Drug Discovery Collaboration for Cardiometabolic Diseases

Novo NordiskOn September 25, a statement was issued announcing a collaboration agreement with the U.S. technology company Valo Health to seek new therapies for cardiometabolic diseases (CMD) by leveraging human data and artificial intelligence.

Under the terms of the agreement, Valo will receive an upfront payment and potential near-term milestone payments totaling $60 million, and is eligible to receive milestone payments for up to 11 programs totaling $2.7 billion, along with research and development funding and potential royalties.
