Astellas establishes its first innovation and R&D center in China

Recently, Astellas announced the establishment of its first innovation and R&D center in China, located in the International BioPark at the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area. This new center will complement Astellas' existing global network of innovation hubs in Tokyo, San Francisco, Boston, Chicago, and Cambridge (UK).

This marks the first R&D innovation center established by Astellas in China since its entry into the Chinese market 31 years ago. The company stated that this initiative demonstrates its firm commitment to strengthening its presence in the Chinese market, aligning drug development and clinical trials with global standards, and accelerating patient access to innovative therapies in China.
