Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine today announced positive results from its pivotal Phase 3 MARIPOSA trial. Compared to the active control group, the combination of its bispecific antibody Rybrevant (amivantamab) and the oral tyrosine kinase inhibitor (TKI) lazertinib as a first-line treatment significantly improved progression-free survival (PFS) in patients with locally advanced or metastatic EGFR-mutated non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Worldwide, lung cancer is one of the most common cancers, with NSCLC accounting for 80% to 85% of all lung cancer cases.
