When Membrane Proteins Meet AI: Targeted GPCR Drug Discovery Accelerates with MegaR Platform

In July this year, at the invitation of Tongxieyi, Liao Jun, founder and CEO of WoZhen Bio, delivered a report on "Next-Generation GPCR Precision Drug Development Based on the MegaR Technology Platform" at the "4th Global Biomedical Frontier Technology Conference and Exhibition," where he unveiled a universal technology platform for GPCR-targeted drug development—MegaR. This announcement sparked strong enthusiasm within the industry. Using MegaR technology, WoZhen Bio has systematically obtained more than 30 high-purity GPCR proteins with their extracellular portions maintaining their native conformation. Additionally, they have resolved several high-resolution cryo-EM structures of GPCRs bound to ligands/drugs, including GPCR proteins and structures that were previously difficult to express and purify.
