On October 3, San Diego — Iambic Therapeutics (formerly Entos), a biotechnology company leveraging its unique generative AI discovery platform to develop new therapies, announced the completion of a $100 million Series B financing round. The round was co-led by Ascenta Capital and Abingworth, with participation from new investors NVIDIA, Illumina Ventures, Gradiant Corporation, and independent board member Bill Rastetter. Existing investors, including Nexus Ventures, Catalio Capital Management, Coatue, FreeFlow, OrbiMed, and Sequoia Capital, continued their support. Two new board members are Dr. Evan Rachlin from Ascenta Capital and Kurt von Emster from Abingworth.Received NVIDIA Investment! $81 Million Series B Financing to Develop New Drugs Using Generative AI

Tom Miller, Ph.D., Co-founder and CEO of Iambic Therapeutics, Inc., said:"At Iambic, our world-class team combines physics and artificial intelligence to create a differentiated drug discovery platform, achieving a step-change in the speed and success rate of delivering first-in-class and best-in-class candidates to clinical trials. With the Series B funding, we aim to advance multiple AI-discovered candidates into clinical trials and expand our pipeline, demonstrating how the Iambic platform can deliver better treatments to patients in shorter timeframes, optimize target product profiles, and increase the likelihood of clinical success."
Since its $53 million Series A financing in 2021, Iambic Therapeutics has rapidly built an AI-driven discovery platform that combines state-of-the-art physics-based machine learning with experimental automation, demonstrating the platform's success in identifying candidate therapeutics with differentiated drug profiles. In addition to assembling a deep team of AI and drug discovery experts, Iambic has discovered two clinical-stage candidates: IAM-H1, a highly selective brain-penetrant inhibitor of HER2 and its oncogenic mutants, and IAM-C1, a potential first-in-class selective dual CDK2/4 inhibitor addressing unmet needs in treatment windows and therapeutic resistance for cell cycle-driven cancers.

In addition, Iambic has expanded its leadership in the artificial intelligence community by creating methods such as NeuralPLexer and OrbNet to drive its discovery platform.

With the funds from its Series B financing, Iambic Therapeutics plans to advance multiple drug candidates into clinical development, expand its pipeline, add candidates with best-in-class and first-in-class potential, and continue innovating and building next-generation AI and automation technologies for drug discovery. The company intends to leverage NVIDIA technologies, such as the NVIDIA DGX Cloud AI supercomputing platform and NVIDIA BioNeMo cloud services, to accelerate drug discovery.

The Scientific Advisory Board includes Professor Frances Arnold, the 2018 Nobel Prize winner in Chemistry.
