Valo Health and Novo Nordisk Partner to Advance AI-Driven Therapies for Cardiometabolic Diseases with $2.7 Billion Milestone Deal

On September 25, 2023, Valo Health and Novo Nordisk A/S announced that they had reached an agreement to discover and develop novel therapies for cardiometabolic diseases based on Valo's large human datasets and AI-driven computations. The collaboration between the two companies will fully leverage the capabilities of Valo’s Opal Computational Platform™, including access to real-world patient data, AI-driven small molecule discovery, and the Biowire® human tissue modeling platform, accelerating the discovery and development process. Valo’s preclinical capabilities can identify and validate novel drug targets, develop candidate drugs targeting these, and help predict the safety and efficacy of compounds.
