Recently, it was reported that Leqembi, a new Alzheimer's disease (AD) drug jointly developed by Japan's Eisai and U.S.-based Biogen, has officially passed the review of Hainan Provincial Medical Products Administration and is now available in Boao Lecheng International Medical Tourism Pilot Zone in Hainan. The trade name of the drug is "Le Yi Bao," priced at 3,328.2 yuan per bottle. It is understood that the availability in Hainan’s Lecheng implies that patients, regardless of whether they have Hainan residency, can purchase the drug in Lecheng; however, the drug can only be used within Lecheng and cannot be taken out of the Lecheng area.
