Recently, CellOrigin, a biotech company focusing on differentiating iPSC into innate immune cells for solid tumor immunotherapy, has completed a new round of financing worth tens of millions of RMB. This round of financing was led by Zijin Port Capital, with Yuhang State Investment Group participating. The funds will be used to advance the company’s next-generation cell therapy drug pipeline into the clinical development stage.

The company successfully completed three rounds of financing in 2021. It has established a clinical-grade iPSC cell bank and, with its strong team experienced in CMC for cell therapy, independently developed a scalable CAR-iMac cell production process. A complete GMP quality system and corresponding quality testing methods have been established. The company is expected to enroll the first clinical patient for CAR-Mac cell therapy in the near term and complete the IND application as soon as possible.

Saiyuan Biotech is dedicated to developing macrophages derived from induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) expressing chimeric antigen receptor molecules (CAR-iMAC) and applying them to the development of immunocyte therapeutic drugs for tumors.
