Bayer Launches Its First Innovation Center in China with Focus on Cell and Gene Therapies

According to Bayer, the first innovation center established by Bayer in China — the Bayer · Yizhuang Open Innovation Center — was inaugurated and launched in the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area. Zhou Xiaolan, President of Bayer Group Greater China, stated that Bayer will focus on its core therapeutic areas of expertise, leveraging its global R&D capabilities, particularly innovations in cell and gene therapies. While strengthening research collaborations with Tsinghua and Peking Universities, Bayer will also work together with the development zone and the Beijing Medical Association to promote the establishment of research-oriented hospital wards, driving early-stage scientific progress and the transformation of research outcomes.
