On October 24, the official website of China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) announced,Johnson & JohnsonThe marketing application for the new AIDS drug Rilpivirine Injection submitted by Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine, a subsidiary of (JNJ.US), has been officially approved. Previously, the Rilpivirine tablet had already been approved in China for the treatment of adult HIV-1 infection.
Public information shows that Rilpivirine Injection is a long-acting injectable suspension, which has been approved and launched overseas (English trade name: Rekambys). It is used in combination with Cabotegravir Injection for specific HIV-1 infected adult patients. The long-acting antiviral therapy consisting of Rilpivirine Injection and Cabotegravir Injection has the overseas trade name Cabenuva. Among them, Cabotegravir Injection (cabotegravir) is developed byGSKDeveloped by ViiV Healthcare, a subsidiary of GSK, it was approved in China this July.
