Recently, WE-LINKING, a brain-machine intelligent fusion technology enterprise, announced that it has completed an angel-plus round of financing worth tens of millions of RMB. The round was led by Gaorong Capital, with participation from Zhongfa Lingchuang Life Science Park Venture Capital Fund and Qiji Investment, while the existing shareholder CDH Investments also joined the investment. Earlier this year, the company completed an angel round of financing worth tens of millions of RMB.
This round of financing is mainly used to promote the development of a fully implantable medical-grade brain-computer interface system, including clinical research on implantable ultra-compliant high-density electrode arrays, clinical application verification of thousand-channel medical-grade neural signal acquisition and processing systems, finalization of hundred-channel neural electronic chips, as well as validation of bidirectional brain-computer interface precise neural modulation technology and wireless broadband communication verification of neural signals.
WE-LINKING, founded in 2019, is a startup company focused on the full-stack technology research and development of medical-grade implantable wireless brain-computer interfaces. Most members of the R&D team are senior researchers from leading international brain-computer interface research institutions, and they have formed deep collaborations with renowned universities, research institutes, and hospitals in China, such as the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. The founding team has over two decades of international research experience in basic research, engineering practice, and clinical medicine related to implantable brain-computer interfaces, and they possess a profound understanding of the principles and clinical applications of brain-computer interfaces.
