Recently, AusperBio (Ausper Biopharma Co., Ltd. and AusperBio Therapeutics, Inc.) has completed a Pre-A+ round of financing worth 100 million yuan. This round of financing was contributed by the investors from the Pre-A round, and the funds were closed in U.S. dollars in the middle of this year.
It is reported that this round of financing will help accelerate the advancement of global clinical trials for AHB-137 under AusperBio and the research and development of other Med-Oligo™ small nucleic acid innovative drugs with targeted delivery.
In October 2022, AusperBio completed a Pre-A round of financing totaling approximately 16 million US dollars, with participation from institutional investor InnoPinnacle Fund. The company's angel round investors continued to show confidence and increased their investment in this round.
Dr. Guozheng Cheng, Founder & CEO of AusperBio, stated: "This Pre-A+ round of financing coincides with the efficient progress of the global clinical trials for AHB-137. The swift completion of this round enables the AusperBio team to consolidate resources, thereby advancing clinical trials for AHB-137 simultaneously in China, the United States, and other countries and regions, accelerating efficacy studies in patients with chronic hepatitis B. Additionally, this round of financing will significantly expedite innovative breakthroughs in the Med-Oligo™ small nucleic acid drug platform technology, achieving more efficient intrahepatic and extrahepatic targeted therapies to address broader and unmet clinical needs."
