Non-invasive Neuroelectric Modulation Device Developer

Recently, Wuxi EKE Medical Technology Co., Ltd. ("EKE Medical") completed a multimillion-yuan angel funding round, exclusively invested by Vertex Ventures. The proceeds will be primarily used for core technological innovation, product development, market expansion, and team growth, further solidifying the company's leading position in the non-invasive neuromodulation sector.

Founded in June 2023, EKE Medical specializes in non-invasive neuromodulation technology. Its independently developed Eyonro® (易优诺®) wearable low-frequency therapy device received medical device registration approval in April 2025, making it the first non-invasive wearable medical device in China that targets the thalamic central motor circuit through peripheral nerve stimulation. In clinical practice, the product has demonstrated positive therapeutic effects on upper limb tremors associated with essential tremor (ET) and certain cases of Parkinson's disease (PD).

The company is currently conducting multicenter clinical trials for the product at several top-tier hospitals, including Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University, the First Medical Center of Chinese PLA General Hospital (Beijing 301 Hospital), and Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai Jiaotong University School of Medicine. Results from one randomized controlled study involving 50 patients with essential tremor or Parkinson's disease showed that 40 minutes after a single treatment, the improvement rate in tremor scores was significantly higher in the treatment group compared to the control group (38.2% vs. 8.6%, P < 0.001). The treatment group also demonstrated significantly greater improvement in line-drawing scores (39.5% vs. 5.3%, P < 0.001) and writing scores (25% vs. 0%, P < 0.001) compared to the control group. No adverse events were reported throughout the trial. To date, the Eyonro® wearable low-frequency therapy device has been used by over 2,000 patients.

EKE Medical's core technical team possesses over a decade of experience in the R&D and production of neuromodulation medical devices and wearable technology. Following the completion of this funding round, the company will continue to deepen its expertise in the field of neuromodulation, building a full-stack platform centered on "electrical nerve stimulation + closed-loop electrophysiological monitoring + AI-powered personalized algorithms." The target indications will expand from essential tremor to include Parkinson's disease, sleep disorders, respiratory conditions, and pain management. The company anticipates completing registration applications for three product pipelines within the next two years.
