GE Healthcare Debuts at CIIE as Independent Public Company with Nearly 30 Borderless Innovations

● This is the first exhibition after becoming an independent listed company, with the exhibition area and number of exhibits reaching the highest in history. Among nearly 30 exhibits, 10 are making their China debut/first exhibition. November 5, 2023, Shanghai——At the 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE), GE Healthcare, participating for the sixth consecutive time, made its debut as an independent brand with a record exhibition area of 600 square meters and the largest number of exhibits to date. Focusing on precision medicine, maternal and child health, grassroots care, and smart healthcare, the company showcased nearly 30 boundary-pushing innovative achievements that integrate global resources and Chinese ingenuity. Among these, 10 products were unveiled or exhibited in China for the first time, accelerating industry-university-research collaboration, promoting the accessibility of high-quality resources, and supporting the high-quality development of China's healthcare industry.

At this year's CIIE, among the 10 major exhibits launched and showcased by GE Healthcare for the first time, there are not only precision medicine innovations represented by the spectral digital SIGNA PET/MR and the all-new Apex quantum platform, but also innovations caring for women and children’s health, such as the automated breast volume ultrasound, digital mammography system, and the pediatric MRI contrast agent "Clariscan®," which supports integrated diagnosis and treatment throughout the entire cycle of breast diseases. Additionally, it includes innovations aimed at supporting grassroots healthcare and promoting elderly care in communities, such as the handheld ultrasound Vscan Air and the equipment health intelligence testing platform.

In terms of precision diagnosis and treatment,GE Healthcare has brought a representative medical powerhouse in multi-modal imaging — the Spectral Digital SIGNA PET/MR, equipped with the "Spectral Theranostics System" jointly developed with Stanford University, the University of Wisconsin, and other global institutions and installation users. It enables precise quantification of all radionuclides and rapid full-sequence imaging, allowing for more comprehensive lesion information in a shorter time, providing new solutions for targeted tumor therapy and immunotherapy. The all-new Apex Quantum Platform, developed by a Chinese team integrating global resources, is equipped with GE Healthcare's patented Quantix Platform, featuring a 0.23s/rotation tube speed and 19.5ms temporal resolution. This not only pushes CT scanning speed to new heights but also achieves precise imaging covering every detail of the entire heart within a single heartbeat. The series of CT devices based on the Apex Quantum Platform that will soon be launched will all possess these characteristics.

Maternal and Child Health,GE Healthcare has introduced "Clariscan," a safer and more stable macrocyclic contrast agent for MRI, widely used globally, specifically for children aged 2 years and under.^®", the latest products for the entire cycle of screening, diagnosis, and treatment of breast diseases were also exhibited, including the ABUS 2.0 fully automatic breast ultrasound AI solution that eliminates reliance on traditional ultrasound technician scanning techniques to achieve standardized breast examination operations, the ultra-high-end digital mammography system Pristina Hygeia that promotes precise diagnosis and treatment of breast diseases, and the flagship Voluson Expert 20 obstetrics and gynecology ultrasound diagnostic system capable of obtaining higher-resolution images easily, covering the latest technologies in imaging equipment and diagnostic drugs to protect the health of women and children.

With the advancement of hierarchical diagnosis and treatment, the leading role and pivotal function of county-level healthcare have become more prominent. At this year's CIIE, both parties jointly released the "Medical 'County' Conditions Research Report" and the "New Journey of Health, Witnessing 'County' Modernization" album, summarizing insights into the current state of county-level medical development, exploring opportunities and strategies for county-level medical development, sharing referenceable practical cases and valuable experiences, and helping county-level healthcare embark on a high-quality development path towards healthy "county" modernization.

To further advance the development at the county level, GE Healthcare showcased multiple solutions empowering grassroots healthcare at this exhibition. These include the Vscan Air, a pocket-sized wireless ultrasound device with double-sided probes weighing only 205 grams, which can be connected via a mobile app to conduct examinations for elderly individuals in community settings or assist in rapid assessments during emergency rescues; the ONE MI Precision Medicine Ecosystem Solution for Nuclear Medicine, targeting precise diagnosis and treatment of serious diseases such as liver cancer and prostate cancer, enabling early and accurate diagnosis, precise staging, helping clinicians determine optimal treatment plans, evaluate treatment efficacy, and support the “One County, One Department” initiative; and the latest achievement of "Intelligent Services" – the Equipment Health Intelligence Platform, capable of generating automated equipment inspection reports with a single click, assisting numerous county-level and grassroots hospitals in precisely monitoring the health status of imaging equipment to ensure stable operation.
