At the medical device and healthcare exhibition area of the 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE) currently being held in Shanghai, many globally renowned medical device companies and biopharmaceutical enterprises are not only showcasing cutting-edge products and presenting research achievements but also acting as bridges to deepen cooperation with China's local innovative forces. This promotes the exchange of advanced disease management experiences between China and the rest of the world, bringing good news to patients.
 
During the CIIE, AstraZeneca's Global R&D China Center plans to promote the establishment of "AstraZeneca Global R&D Hong Kong Sub-Center." Leveraging global innovative advantages and resources, taking advantage of the window effect of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, collaborating with multiple scientific research forces, and linking to the global R&D innovation network.
 
As a "long-time participant" in its sixth year of attendance, AstraZeneca reached cooperation agreements with multiple provinces at this CIIE. These include increasing investment to build a new production line for Andasimod, making Taizhou the global production base for AstraZeneca's diabetes products. After production begins, the annual output value of the Taizhou production and supply base is expected to reach 10 billion RMB. Additionally, AstraZeneca held the launch ceremony for the rapid access of the 2023 oncology drug Imjudo and the rare disease drug Strensiq in the Greater Bay Area. Leveraging the early implementation policies, the rapid access of these two drugs will significantly enhance the early availability of urgently needed clinical medications.
 
Ascentage Pharma and AstraZeneca Hold Signing Ceremony for Pivotal Clinical Study Collaboration. Both parties will jointly conduct the relevant pivotal Phase III clinical study for first-line treatment of newly diagnosed patients with related hematological malignancies. Kangwei Chen, General Manager of AstraZeneca China Oncology Business Unit, stated that this year, AstraZeneca will introduce the innovative drug acalabrutinib for hematological malignancies to China.

At the CIIE, the China-wide Severe Asthma Management Medical Consortium project was signed for cooperation, aiming to provide standardized diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management for patients. The project includes developing severe asthma diagnosis and treatment protocols that fit China's national conditions.StandardOptimize medication regimens, establish standardized construction criteria for severe asthma management centers, improve patient compliance, and develop individualized diagnosis and treatment models.
 
Reportedly, this project was jointly initiated by the China Medical and Health Development Foundation, renowned domestic experts and scholars in the respiratory field, and爱心企业. At the CIIE, Boehringer Ingelheim, a global leading biopharmaceutical company, held the release ceremony for the Blue Paper on Diabetes Complications Screening and Management in China – Current Status of Community Health Service Centers (2023) (hereinafter referred to as the "Blue Paper") and the "Hundred Cities Lighting Up" event. The "Blue Paper" focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of diabetes complications at urban community health service centers, with particular attention to the current state of diabetes complications management in China and unmet needs, promoting public awareness of diabetes and its complications prevention and control, as well as the popularization of advanced diagnostic and treatment concepts and methods.
 
"AI in AD? Embrace a New Life" - A themed event focusing on Chinese patients with atopic dermatitis held at the AbbVie booth. Geng Tao, Executive Director of AbbVie China's Immunology Division, and [name omitted], from the Capital Medical University Affiliated Beijing Children's Hospital...HospitalProfessor Ma Lin signed the Memorandum of Cooperation for the Action Plan for Chinese Adolescents with Atopic Dermatitis; concurrently, Professor Gao Xinghua, Vice President of the First Hospital Affiliated to China Medical University and Director of the National Key Discipline of Dermatology, along with Geng Tao, issued an initiative for the personalized management of atopic dermatitis in China.
