"Into the West" is a strategic cooperation project launched by the National Health Commission and Bayer in 2007. Over 12 years, the project received recognition and encouragement from the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee and other ministries through the document "Bringing Science, Culture, and Health to the Countryside." Over the past 16 years, the project has trained more than 100,000 healthcare professionals across 30 provinces in China, playing a leading and exemplary role in promoting domestic and international cooperation in related fields. Since 2018, under the guidance of the National Health Commission, Tsinghua University and Bayer have continued the "Into the West" project. The strong collaboration between these two century-old institutions has contributed more development ideas, innovative models, experienced faculty, and high-quality results, bringing "Into the West" to new heights. After consultation, both parties hope to deepen their cooperation further, ensuring the sustainable development of "Into the West" and writing a new chapter.
