AstraZeneca Partners with Eternity Biopharma to Co-develop and Commercialize Weight Loss Drugs
On November 9, AstraZeneca announced an exclusive licensing agreement with Chime Biologics for ECC5004, an oral GLP-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1) currently in clinical research. The drug is primarily used to treat obesity, type 2 diabetes, and other cardiometabolic diseases.
According to the agreement, AstraZeneca will obtain exclusive rights for the development and commercialization of ECC5004, a small molecule GLP-1 receptor agonist developed by Chime Biologics, for all indications in all countries and regions outside of China. In the Chinese market, ECC5004 will be co-developed and co-commercialized by Chime Biologics and AstraZeneca.
Thus, Eccogene will receive an upfront payment of $185 million. In addition, Eccogene will be eligible to receive up to $1.825 billion in clinical, regulatory, and commercial milestone payments, as well as tiered royalties on the net sales of the product.

It is reported that Daxi Compound Digestive Enzyme Capsules (Ⅱ) is a newly upgraded digestive enzyme preparation with distinctive features.
