　AstraZeneca Partners with Eternity Biopharma to Co-develop and Commercialize Weight Loss Drugs
 

On November 9, AstraZeneca announced an exclusive licensing agreement with Chime Biologics for ECC5004, an oral GLP-1 receptor agonist (GLP-1) currently in clinical research. The drug is primarily used to treat obesity, type 2 diabetes, and other cardiometabolic diseases.
 

According to the agreement, AstraZeneca will obtain exclusive rights for the development and commercialization of ECC5004, a small molecule GLP-1 receptor agonist developed by Chime Biologics, for all indications in all countries and regions outside of China. In the Chinese market, ECC5004 will be co-developed and co-commercialized by Chime Biologics and AstraZeneca.
 

Thus, Eccogene will receive an upfront payment of $185 million. In addition, Eccogene will be eligible to receive up to $1.825 billion in clinical, regulatory, and commercial milestone payments, as well as tiered royalties on the net sales of the product.

On November 7, at the 6th China International Import Expo (CIIE), AbbVie and Sinopharm Group Co., Ltd. announced the signing of a Memorandum of Strategic Cooperation. Both parties will leverage the SPS+ Specialty Pharmacy network of Sinopharm Group to further enhance the accessibility of innovative drugs. They will also explore standardized patient management models, including providing patients with reasonable and safe medication guidance, long-term disease management, and science popularization education, thereby improving patients' disease management capabilities and quality of life.

On November 13, QuidMed announced a strategic partnership with Nona Biologics for the licensing of core conjugation technology and ADC (Antibody-Drug Conjugate) development.
 

The agreement shows that NanoBiologics and Qide Pharmaceutical will integrate their professional advantages in antibody research and bioenzyme solid-phase catalytic conjugation to actively expand and promote Qide Pharmaceutical's self-developed bioenzyme solid-phase catalytic conjugation technology platforms iLDC and iGDC, as well as NanoBiologics' antibody technology platform Harbour Mice, globally. This collaboration aims to empower global clients in the early discovery and development of a new generation of bioconjugate drugs and provide one-stop solutions for the early discovery of ADC drugs worldwide.

Qianhong Pharmaceutical recently announced that the company held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony for the product Daxi Compound Digestive Enzyme Capsules (II) with Bayer Pharmaceuticals at the CIIE on November 9, officially marking the beginning of in-depth cooperation between Qianhong Pharmaceutical and Bayer Pharmaceuticals.
 

It is reported that Daxi Compound Digestive Enzyme Capsules (Ⅱ) is a newly upgraded digestive enzyme preparation with distinctive features. It uses a composite of four enzymes: pepsin, trypsin, pancreatic amylase, and pancreatic lipase. Additionally, it employs a patented double-layer coated pellet technology, which allows for the segmented release of corresponding digestive enzymes in the stomach and intestines, ensuring high activity of different types of enzymes.
