T-Therapeutics is aDedicated to Developing the Next Generation of T-Cell Receptor (TCR) TherapeuticsT-Therapeutics, Ltd., a biotechnology company, announced today the successful completion of a £48 million (approximately $59 million) Series A financing round. The round was led by Sofinnova Partners, F-Prime Capital, Digitalis Ventures, and Cambridge Innovation Capital, with participation from Sanofi Ventures and Cambridge University’s venture capital fund. This fundingWill be used for the discovery and development of novel TCR therapeutic drugs targeting cancer and inflammatory diseases.

T-Therapeutics, Ltd. originated from the University of Cambridge.Developed an exclusive transgenic mouse platform, OpTiMus, which can generate a TCR library containing nearly infinite optimized TCRs, providing foundational building blocks for designing groundbreaking therapies.

The company initially focused on developing treatments that can identify specific cancers and mobilize a patient’s own T cells to eliminate tumors. T-Therapeutics is building a diversified portfolio of TCR drugs for cancer treatment, designed to overcome the limitations of existing TCR therapies, which are only applicable to certain cancers, lack specificity, and may cause significant side effects. In addition, T-Therapeutics will also develop drugs for various autoimmune diseases.

The team at T-Therapeutics is composed of seasoned antibody engineers and drug development experts, who have been responsible for creating the Kymab and PetMedix antibody discovery platforms and their pipelines, as well as other significant discoveries at Adaptimmune and GSK.
