Recently, at the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases Annual Meeting (AASLD – The Liver Meeting) held in Boston, USA,SCG SCIENCEHBV-Specific TCR-T Cell Therapy - SCG101Selected for the Latest Breakthrough (Late-breaking) Clinical Research. The study showed that SCG101 exhibited significant antiviral and antitumor activity in treating patients with advanced hepatitis B virus (HBV)-related hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), andSignificantly extended the progression-free survival of patients.

SCG101 is an autologous T-cell receptor therapy specifically targeting the hepatitis B surface antigen, which has been approved for clinical trials in the United States, China, Singapore, and other regions. It not only demonstrates tumor suppression effects but also eradicates HBV cccDNA. Research data shows that among six patients with advanced HBV-related liver cancer, two achieved partial response (PR), including one case of pathological complete response (pCR), while two others had stable disease (SD) with observed tumor shrinkage.

More significantly, all patients (100%) receiving SCG101 treatment showed a decrease in serum HBsAg. Among them, four patients experienced a significant reduction in serum HBsAg, which remained at low levels for up to 90 weeks. The PFS of these patients was notably extended to 25.8 weeks. This achievement not only represents a breakthrough in tumor treatment but also demonstrates substantial potential in the antiviral field.
