At the beginning of the ceremony, Dr. Chuanhua Xing, founder and CEO of Shihua Medicine, delivered a welcome speech and gave a keynote speech on the path of AI cancer exploration. Dr. Xing and his team have been deeply engaged in the interdisciplinary field of artificial intelligence and biomedicine for more than 20 years. He studied under Donald Bitzer, a member of the National Academy of Engineering in the United States and the father of PLATO, and collaborated with several academicians and winners of the COPSS President’s Award, the highest international honor in statistical machine learning algorithms. Since 2001, he has participated in and promoted the development of AI precision medicine, including GWAS, systems medicine, sequencing technology advancements, precision medicine, and most recently, early diagnosis and new drug development. He once led AstraZeneca's precision medicine team to bring the well-known tumor immunotherapy drug Imfinzi from a failed Phase III clinical trial to market. In 2015, he founded the company in the United States to begin incubation, and has since completed several key trials. Through innovative machine algorithm models driving multi-omics approaches, Shihua Medicine successfully developed the CancerX breast cancer MRD diagnostic and treatment platform, achieving breakthrough progress in genetic and multi-omics research. The core technology of Shihua Medicine represents the forefront of the industry, effectively revealing the relationship between these technologies and complex diseases such as cancer, significantly improving the accuracy of cancer detection and early diagnosis capabilities, and providing optimized multi-gene targets for drug development. The company not only leads the industry in deciphering complex diseases but also plays a key role in transforming cancer treatment into a chronic condition.

The conference then held a grand opening ribbon-cutting ceremony. Afterwards, the guests also visited the world-class quality standard system medical laboratory meticulously built by ShiHua Medicine.

The conference also featured several exciting agendas, including keynote speeches and roundtable forums. Multiple authoritative experts in the field delivered brilliant presentations on cutting-edge explorations of original machine algorithms, their transformation, applications in the medical field, development trends in precision medicine, and investment prospects. Dr. Cheng Cui, former FDA reviewer, conducted an in-depth discussion on how machine learning can assist in personalizing disease diagnosis and treatment plans, emphasizing the importance of data-driven methods in future medical decision-making. He demonstrated how algorithms and big data analysis can improve patient outcomes and quality of life. Professor Mu Wang, founding executive dean of Huilake School of Pharmacy at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, discussed from a clinical practice perspective how precision medicine can achieve patient-centered healthcare services, using real-world cases to illustrate how personalized treatment plans can enhance the effectiveness and safety of treatments. Dr. Zhihu Qu, Director of Automation at Insilico Medicine, an early AI pharmaceutical company, focused on the future of laboratory automation and translational medicine, exploring how automated technologies and intelligent systems can accelerate medical research and drug development. Professor Renquan Lu from Fudan University Cancer Hospital delivered a speech focusing on new advances in cancer treatment, particularly in the identification and application of novel biomarkers, bringing new directions for future cancer research.
"International Innovation in Biomedicine" Roundtable Forum
"Roundtable Forum on 'The Current Status and Future of Artificial Intelligence in Clinical Research and Applications & Industry Development and Women Leaders Forum'"Professor Kang Xinmei from Xiamen UniversityAndZhou Hongxia, General Manager of Jin Yu MaowuLed the participants in an in-depth discussion on the current applications and future trends of artificial intelligence in the medical field. The roundtable forum guests includedProfessor Lu Renquan from the Tumor Hospital Affiliated to Fudan University,Tao Liu, CEO of Fuyi Tianwen,Zhu Fangzhou, CEO of Golden Rain Maowu Mulan Fund,Yuanhe Direct Investment Chen Yunfei,Co-founder of Starlight Intelligence, Liang Yanyan,Dr. Yiting Xu from Suzhou Qianrong Chuanghe Innovative Capital Management Co., Ltd.AndSuzhou Bank Shi JiexingLength. The forum focused on how to use AI technology to address the challenges faced by the healthcare industry and investment prospects. Participating medical experts unanimously stated that artificial intelligence can not only replace redundant tasks performed by doctors in clinical diagnosis, treatment, and management, reducing errors, but also serve as a platform for innovative technologies to drive the advancement of medicine. China highly values the participation of innovative technologies and artificial intelligence in medical research and promotion, but there is a severe shortage of cross-disciplinary talent. Some investors expressed a wait-and-see attitude toward AI and new technologies, but more experts stated that if biomedicine does not embrace AI now, it may already be falling behind. However, there is no doubt that AI biomedicine has penetrated every corner of the biomedicine field, enabling the development of better products, saving time, and reducing costs. It has become one of the key solutions to the current problems faced by China's and even the global biomedicine industry.

The initiation of the Women's Leadership Forum was announced at the end of the conference. Women are playing an increasingly important role in innovation and economic development in today’s society, but as a minority group, they still face unique challenges. The Women's Leadership Forum aims to provide a platform for exchange and interaction for female scientists, entrepreneurs, managers, and investors in high-tech fields. It discusses hot and significant topics such as innovation and entrepreneurship, business growth, and economic breakthroughs, while sharing insights on career and life. The forum injects new vitality into the development of women and society, serves as a role model for young women and the next generation, and spreads positive energy.
The successful hosting of this conference marks a new starting point for AI precision medicine in China. Participants expressed their enthusiasm, hoping that more forums with international high-level innovative technologies and exchanges on the development of precision medicine can be held to provide a platform for high-quality project exchanges and cooperation, thereby promoting the growth of China's AI precision medicine industry. Such forums with international high standards are also appreciated for offering a platform for high-quality project collaboration. With the joint efforts of VCBeat and peers in the industry, it is foreseeable that the AI precision healthcare sector will embrace a new leap-forward development. Dr. Xing, founder of VCBeat, also expressed his anticipation for the next conference!
