Antibody New Drug Developer
On November 28, the CDE official website showed that Phanes Therapeutics, Inc. submitted the clinical trial application for PT199, which has been accepted.

PT199 is a CD73 monoclonal antibody with a differentiated mechanism of action, designed to counter adenosine-mediated immunosuppressive tumor microenvironments.
PT199 can completely inhibit both soluble and cell membrane-bound CD73, which is different from other inhibitors that do not fully suppress CD73. Moreover, at higher concentrations, PT199 does not lose its inhibitory effect or exhibit a "hook effect." Therefore, PT199 overcomes the limitations of many current CD73 inhibitors, with the potential to enhance anti-tumor immune activity and offer a new therapeutic option for cancer patients.
PT199 was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in 2022 to conduct a multi-center clinical Phase I trial in the United States.
