On September 24, 2025, an eight-member delegation from RA Capital, including Partner Josh Resnick, Principal Tess Cameron, and Investment Director Jenna Hebert, visited the GCP Center at the Langfang Campus of the Cancer Hospital, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences (CAMS). Professor Li Ning, Vice President of CAMS Cancer Hospital, together with four members of the GCP Center, welcomed the visitors.

The delegation toured the GCP wards, central pharmacy, and laboratories, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the Center's overall layout in areas such as clinical translation of innovative drugs, standardized clinical trial management, and research platform development. The RA Capital team was impressed by the systematic approach and professionalism of the Center's infrastructure and operations, and fully recognized China's rapid progress and remarkable achievements in innovative drug development and clinical translation.

Following the visit, Professor Wang Shuhang from the GCP Center introduced the Center's development history and operational model, with a particular focus on the latest advances in early-phase clinical trials of innovative drugs. She highlighted how, through collaborations with multiple innovative pharmaceutical companies, the Center has helped advance a number of early-stage drug candidates into clinical trials, thereby providing a high-quality platform for the translation and implementation of innovative drugs in China. This fully reflects the Hospital’s mission as a national base for cancer research and clinical trials.

RA Capital representatives introduced the firm's investment philosophy and strategy, emphasizing its evidence-based approach, which relies on scientific data and clinical value as the core foundation for decision-making. This perspective aligns closely with the GCP Center's commitment to rigorous, data-driven research.

During the discussion, the two sides held in-depth discussions on the development environment for Chinese early-stage biotech companies, the application prospects of emerging technologies, and ways to accelerate the clinical translation of innovative results. RA Capital highly commended the GCP Center's efforts and achievements in advancing early-stage drug research and development, and expressed the hope to connect with more promising Chinese biotech companies through further collaboration, thereby jointly promoting the growth of China's innovative drug industry.

RA Capital boasts extensive investment experience and professional expertise in the biotech sector. Its visit will help bring internationally advanced R&D concepts and financial support to China's innovative pharmaceutical companies, facilitating the launch of early-stage innovative drug R&D projects. Equipped with comprehensive clinical trial facilities and a professional research team, the GCP Center enables the two parties to fully leverage these resources through cooperation, accelerating the clinical translation process of China's innovative drugs and enhancing China's influence in the global oncology drug R&D field.

The visit by RA Capital was not only a profound exchange of ideas and practices but also laid a solid foundation for future collaboration. Looking ahead, both sides will use this exchange as a springboard to expand cooperative pathways, jointly drive the transition of early innovative drugs from "bench to bedside," accelerate the transformation of scientific achievements into accessible treatment options for patients, and contribute more significantly to the advancement of the global fight against cancer.
