Pfizer and Valneva Complete Phase 3 Enrollment for Lyme Disease Vaccine Candidate VLA15

SmartCom APP learned that Pfizer (PFE.US) and its partner Valneva (VALN.US) announced they have completed the recruitment for the Phase 3 trial of their Lyme disease vaccine candidate VLA15. Pfizer plans to apply for regulatory approval of the product in the United States and Europe in 2026.

This Phase 3 trial recruited 9,437 participants aged 5 years and older in Lyme disease-endemic regions of the United States, Canada, and Europe. The study is expected to conclude by the end of 2025.
