Shanghai Securities News (Reporter Lingxi Li) — On December 8, at the Shenzhen Global Investment Promotion Conference, Chairman of Fosun International, Guo Guangchang, stated that Shenzhen is evolving from a young and dynamic city into a city with quality, culture, and vibrancy. "At this juncture, there should be more medical resources to allow ordinary citizens to better access high-quality medical services, as well as more cultural facilities to meet the Shenzhen people's aspirations for a better life. These happen to be Fosun's strengths."
Guo Guangchang mentioned that a major event for Fosun this year is that Fosun Jian Capital, under Fosun Pharmaceutical, was officially selected as the management institution for Shenzhen's biopharmaceutical industry fund through an open selection process. This reflects Shenzhen's high recognition of Fosun’s industrial and investment capabilities.
Guo Guangchang stated that, in the next step, Fosun will establish the "Fosun Pharmaceutical Greater Bay Area Headquarters" in Pingshan, Shenzhen. Some production lines of Shanghai Henlius Biotech, Inc. and Fosun Kite Biotechnology Co., Ltd. will be among the first batch of projects to settle in, creating the second global headquarters for Fosun Pharmaceutical's innovative drugs here. Fosun will also join hands with Shenzhen to build a global highland for the clustered development of innovative drugs.
