Bristol Myers Squibb Inks $8.4B Deal for First-in-Class EGFR×HER3 Bispecific ADC BL-B01D1

SystImmune Inc. and Bristol Myers Squibb today announced an exclusive license and collaboration agreement for BL-B01D1 developed by SystImmune.BL-B01D1 is a potential "first-in-class" bispecific antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) targeting epidermal growth factor receptor and human epidermal growth factor receptor 3 (EGFR x HER3), for the treatment of lung cancer, breast cancer, and potentially other cancers.OthersTypes of Cancer.

BL-B01D1, composed of SystImmune's proprietary bispecific antibody and a payload containing a stable, cleavable linker and a topoisomerase inhibitor, targets EGFR and HER3. The drug is currently being evaluated in a global multicenter Phase 1 study (BL-B01D1-LUNG101) for safety and efficacy in patients with metastatic or unresectable non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).

Data from the early clinical studies of BL-B01D1 show that,A series of solid tumors progressing after standard treatment(including NSCLC and breast cancer)It has good anti-tumor activity in patients.

According to the terms of the agreement, Bristol-Myers Squibb will pay SystImmune an upfront payment of $800 million and potential near-term payments of up to $500 million. Based on the achievement of certain development, regulatory, and sales milestones, SystImmune is eligible to receive additional payments of up to $7.1 billion, with the total potential transaction value reaching up to $8.4 billion.

The two companies will jointly develop and commercialize BL-B01D1 in the United States. SystImmune will take full responsibility for the development, commercialization, and production in China through its affiliate and will be responsible for the drug supply in certain regions outside of China. Bristol-Myers Squibb will be responsible for the development and commercialization in the rest of the world.
