Ractigen Recently Announced a Strategic Cooperation with Shanghai Hailu Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Shanghai Hailu"), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group, to jointly accelerate the R&D and commercialization of small nucleic acid drugs and develop more innovative drugs with global competitiveness.

Small nucleic acid drugs represent the third generation of novel drug modalities following small molecule drugs and large molecule drugs. Unlike small molecules and protein drugs, small nucleic acid drugs target genes, addressing disease issues upstream, with a wide range of indications and targets, including those that cannot be targeted by small or large molecules. Compared to small molecule and large molecule drugs, small nucleic acid drugs offer advantages such as high specificity, strong stability, long-lasting efficacy, shorter research and development cycles, and higher success rates in development.

This collaboration will focus on the research and development of small nucleic acid innovative drugs, and carry out close cooperation in multiple aspects such as RNA drug development for designated targets, dual-target RNA drug development, technology licensing for small nucleic acid drug delivery, and licensing of ongoing product pipelines.Both parties will make full use of Ractigen's advanced small nucleic acid drug development technology and internationally leading intra- and extra-hepatic delivery technology, combined with the clinical development and commercialization advantages of Yangtze River Pharmaceutical Group in the pharmaceutical field, to jointly promote the commercialization of small nucleic acid drugs and the transformation of delivery technology achievements, providing more innovative treatment options for patients worldwide.
