The growth was mainly driven by the strong performance in Micra, TAVR, and diagnostics, but was partially offset by an unfavorable currency impact of $569 million and supply chain challenges in certain businesses.

The decline was mainly due to the competitive pressure faced by the cardiac ablation solutions in Western Europe and the upcoming Volume-Based Procurement (VBP) tender in China, but was partially offset by the continued adoption of Micra AV, TYRX Antibacterial Envelope, LINQ II insertable devices, and the growth of Arctic Front cryoablation catheters in the United States.

Structural Heart and Aorta (SHA)In the fiscal year 2023, there was a 10% increase compared to fiscal year 2022. The growth was mainly driven by the increase in Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), including in the United States and Japan. The sales growth was negatively impacted by the field corrective action for the Harmony Transcatheter Pulmonary Valve and Delivery Catheter System.

Coronary and Peripheral Vascular (CPV)In the fiscal year 2023, it decreased by 3% compared to fiscal year 2022. The decline in turnover was mainly due to the volume of coronary surgeries in several major markets still being below pre-COVID levels, the contrast agent shortage faced by U.S. hospitals at the beginning of fiscal year 2023, and reduced peripheral vascular health driven by competitors re-entering the market and supply chain challenges.
