Pfizer to Finalize $43 Billion Seagen Acquisition and Launch New Oncology Division

Pfizer announced on December 12 local time that it expects to complete the acquisition of cancer drug maker Seagen for $43 billion later this week and plans to establish a new oncology division early next year. In addition, Pfizer's Chief Commercial Officer Angela Hwang will step down, and Pfizer will split its commercial operations, excluding oncology, into two divisions: the U.S. region and international.
