Recently, Barty Medical, a medical device developer in the cardiovascular intervention field, has completed a nearly 100-million-yuan C1 round of financing. This round was led by Huarui Investment, with continued support from existing shareholder Sanze Venture Capital.
It is reported that the proceeds of this round of financing will be mainly used to advance the clinical registration and commercialization of the constrained balloon series of innovative products.
At the same time, Barty Medical has initiated its C2 round of financing, aiming to further expand its scaled manufacturing capabilities to adapt to the rapid growth of future products and revenue, and comprehensively enhance the company's integrated advantages as a high-performance vascular interventional device platform enterprise.

Barty Medical's First Innovative Product - Fengtai® Flowty® Drug-Coated Balloon without Excipients for Coronary Artery Nanoneedle Coating was launched in May 2021. As the only National Innovative Medical Device product currently on the market with a drug coating and no excipients, it has seen a continuous increase in market share due to its excellent clinical advantages since its launch. In December 2023, Matrix Super™, the first product from the company’s Constrained Balloon Technology Platform, made a stunning debut. This product is China’s first peripherally constrained balloon, offering uniform and controllable vascular expansion during vessel preparation and pre-dilation stages, effectively reducing vascular elastic recoil and avoiding uncontrollable tears and flow-limiting dissections, providing doctors and patients with a more clinically advantageous vascular dilation device.
Barty Medical's independently developed Matrix Super™, the first domestically produced constrained balloon in China, took into account localized clinical needs from the initial design and development phase, such as Chinese patients seeking treatment late and having longer vascular lesions. Therefore, the product specifications and models are more comprehensive in coverage. It is the only similar product that can provide lengths of 150mm and 200mm, better meeting the treatment needs of Chinese patients.
It is worth mentioning that Barty Medical's peripheral restraint-type drug-coated balloon has completed clinical trials and submitted for registration, and is expected to become the world’s second and China’s first approved restraint-type drug-coated balloon to be launched within 2024. Another product, a coronary restraint-type drug-coated balloon — the world's first "intervention without implant" combination of pharmaceuticals and device designed for in-situ lesions of large coronary vessels — has completed the world’s first-in-human clinical trial (FIM trial) and will initiate its registration clinical trial in 2024.
In addition, Barty Medical is actively expanding overseas, with products exported to more than 20 countries and regions, achieving tens of millions in overseas sales.
