Against this backdrop, the 2023 Future Medical Technology Conference specially hosted the themed forum [Innovative Forum on Intelligent Medical Devices]. Chief Technology Officer of MathWorks China Healthcare Industry, Mr. Bo ShanSharing on "Model-Based Design Accelerates Rapid Prototyping and Validation of Medical Devices": Showcasing how MathWorks utilizes models to expedite the development and validation of medical devices, even partially replacing clinical trials, from two perspectives—model-based design and computational medicine. Regarding model-based design, Mr. Shan Bo shared solutions where verification is first completed in a virtual environment, followed by automatic code generation to obtain rapid prototypes for validation via HIL, accelerating product development. In terms of computational medicine, he mentioned that data models can replace some human clinical trials, reducing time and costs through simulation and validation.

He stated that creating a confocal laser endomicroscopy product that can truly achieve clinical application is not easy. Globally, only a few companies have mastered this technology.
