On December 20, Shanghai Hansoh BioMedical Co., Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hansoh Pharmaceutical Group Company Limited, entered into a licensing agreement with GSK. GSK will obtain the exclusive global license (excluding mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan) for the development, manufacture, and commercialization of HS-20093.
HS-20093 is a novel B7-H3-targeted antibody-drug conjugate (ADC), composed of a fully humanized B7-H3 monoclonal antibody covalently linked to a topoisomerase inhibitor (TOPOi) payload. It is currently undergoing multiple Phase I and Phase II clinical trials in China for the treatment of lung cancer, sarcoma, head and neck cancer, and other solid tumors.
According to the license agreement and its terms and conditions, Hansoh Bio will receive an upfront payment of $185 million and is eligible to receive milestone payments of up to $1.525 billion upon the achievement of related events for the product. After the commercialization of the product, GSK will also pay tiered royalties on global net sales outside of mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan.
Just two months ago, Hansoh Pharma granted GSK the exclusive global license (excluding mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan) for its novel B7-H4-targeted ADC drug HS-20089, with a total transaction value of up to $1.57 billion.
