Zhitong Finance APP learned that Akoya Biosciences (AKYA.US) stated that the company has reached an agreement with Thermo Fisher Scientific (TMO.US) to integrate its RNA solutions and platforms, providing researchers with multi-omics solutions to further advance the field of spatial biology.
The agreement enables Akoya to sell its portfolio of spatial biology solutions, including the PhenoImager system and PhenoCode reagents integrated with Thermo Fisher Scientific’s ViewRNA in situ hybridization assays, for the detection of protein and RNA biomarkers in tissue samples.
Akoya Biosciences, Inc. noted that this agreement helps streamline the workflow for whole-slide, multi-omics imaging, where protein and RNA biomarkers play complementary roles in defining cell phenotype and cell state in tissue samples. Moreover, by measuring protein and RNA analytes, researchers can gain a more comprehensive understanding of tumor progression, molecular and biologic agents, enabling the development of more accurate biomarker profiles.
