Shanghai Securities News, China Securities Network -- On January 7 local time, Isomorphic Labs, an AI pharmaceutical company under Alphabet (Google's parent company), announced strategic cooperation with global pharmaceutical giants Eli Lilly and Novartis.
The AI pharmaceutical company announced that these collaborations could bring nearly US$3 billion in value to the company (excluding potential royalties from future drug sales). Both collaborations are multi-target, with a focus on small molecules.
The pharmaceutical company established a strategic research collaboration with Novartis, focusing on developing small-molecule therapies targeting three undisclosed sites. According to the agreement, in addition to receiving partial research funding from Novartis, Isomorphic Labs will also obtain a $37.5 million upfront payment from Novartis. Based on its performance, Isomorphic Labs could potentially receive milestone rewards of up to $1.2 billion.
The company's collaboration with Eli Lilly involves the research and development of small-molecule therapies targeting multiple pathways. The company will receive a $45 million upfront payment from Eli Lilly and could potentially earn up to $1.7 billion in milestone payments based on its performance.
