1. NEUREGEN Completes Pre-A Round Financing Worth Tens of Millions for the Development of Novel Gene Therapy Drugs
On January 5, NEUREGEN announced that it had completed a Pre-A round of financing worth tens of millions of yuan in December 2023.
NEUREGEN was co-founded by a pioneering team in the field of in situ transdifferentiation technology and seasoned experts from the gene therapy industry. In situ transdifferentiation is a next-generation cell reprogramming technology developed as an evolution of the Nobel Prize-winning iPSC technology, marking a significant milestone breakthrough in the field of regenerative medicine. NEUREGEN is a biotechnology company dedicated to developing novel gene therapies using its proprietary in situ transdifferentiation technology.
Currently, NEUREGEN's product pipeline focuses on neurological diseases, primarily targeting blinding eye conditions and difficult-to-treat neurological tumors by developing original gene therapy drugs with proprietary intellectual property rights. The pipeline is rapidly expanding to include major neurodegenerative diseases. 2. Angkuo Pharmaceuticals Completes Over 700 Million Yuan Series A Financing to Advance Cancer Treatment Drug Development
On January 4, Oncure Pharma announced the completion of an oversubscribed $100 million (over 700 million RMB) Series A financing round. Since its establishment in April 2021, Oncure Pharma has raised $139 million (approximately 1 billion RMB). The proceeds from this financing will be used to advance the clinical development of the company’s CDH6-targeted antibody-drug conjugate (ADC) project, CUSP06, as well as for the expansion of the company’s product pipeline and team.
CUSP06 is an ADC targeting CDH6, and its structure consists of: a proprietary antibody with high binding affinity to CDH6, a protease-cleavable linker, and an exatecan payload (a potent clinically validated topoisomerase-1 inhibitor). The linker is specifically designed to conjugate the exatecan payload, generating a highly stable and uniform ADC. This payload is not a substrate for BCRP/P-gp, drug efflux pumps responsible for chemotherapy resistance in many therapies. OncoCusp has obtained global exclusive development and commercialization rights to CUSP06 (outside Greater China) from ThunderBio Innovation Limited.

3. ThunderBio Innovation Limited Completes Over 100 Million Yuan in B1 Financing, Accelerating Global Commercial Expansion
Recently, ThunderBio Innovation Limited announced the completion of a hundred-million-level B1 round of financing. The funds from this round will be used for the global commercial expansion of several self-developed droplet microfluidic platforms by ThunderBio Innovation Limited, establishing a leading global platform for life science instrument tools.
ThunderBio Innovation Limited, incubated at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and founded in 2018, is committed to providing world-leading life science tools and is a leader in China's droplet microfluidics industry. It has commercialized several scientific instruments based on droplet microfluidics technology, including the microfluidic high-throughput screening system (CytoSpark Sorting System), Galaxy Single Cell Analysis System (Galaxy Single Cell Sequencing Library Construction System), Nebula dPCR System (Nebula Digital PCR System), and Exostar Extracellular Vesicles Analysis System (Single Vesicle Analysis System). These products can be applied in fields such as antibody screening, enzyme evolution, synthetic biology, high-throughput drug screening, cancer research, early cancer detection, targeted therapy, non-invasive prenatal diagnosis, virus quantification, and biopharmaceutical quality control.

4. Sumagnetic Technology Completes Over 100 Million Yuan in Series A Financing, Magnetic Levitation Technology Empowers Two High-End Fields: Biopharmaceuticals and Semiconductors
Recently, SuCi Technology announced the completion of an over 100-million-yuan Series A round of financing. The funds will mainly be used for the mass production of magnetic levitation turntables, magnetic levitation liquid pumps, and magnetic levitation stirring systems, expanding applications in high-end markets across different fields, and continuously developing other self-innovated products.
