Fosun Kite Biotechnology Recognized as Pudong New Area Enterprise R&D Institution and Advances China's First CAR-T Therapy

On January 8, 2024, the Science and Technology and Economy Committee of Pudong New Area announced the list of 74 enterprises proposed to be recognized as Pudong New Area Enterprise R&D Institutions for 2023. Fosun Kite Biotechnology Co., Ltd. is among them.

The initiative to recognize enterprise R&D institutions in the Pudong New Area is an important measure by the Pudong New Area to implement the "Decision of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of Pudong New Area on Promoting the Core Functional Zone Construction of the Science and Technology Innovation Center in Pudong New Area." It aims to encourage enterprises to further increase R&D investment, cultivate and support a group of high-end, efficient, and high-tech enterprises with core competitiveness and independent innovation capabilities, and advance the construction of the Pudong New Area as a science and technology innovation center. Selected enterprise R&D institutions must undergo an annual review to ensure the sustainable development of their R&D operations.
