Eli Lilly's Galcanezumab Injection Approved in China for Preventive Treatment of Episodic Migraine in Adults

Shanghai Securities News, China Securities Network -- On January 10, Eli Lilly and Company announced that Emgality® (Galcanezumab Injection) has been officially approved by the National Medical Products Administration for preventive treatment of migraine in adults.

Eli Lilly and Company introduced that Emgality® (Galcanezumab Injection) is a humanized IgG4 monoclonal antibody that can bind to and block calcitonin gene-related peptide (CGRP) from binding to its receptor, thereby achieving the therapeutic purpose of preventing migraines. It is the first approved drug in Eli Lilly and Company's migraine treatment field in China.

Galcanezumab Injection was approved for marketing in the United States in September 2018 and has now been approved in 60 countries and regions worldwide. (He Xinyi)
