Shanghai Securities News China Securities Network News, January 11th: The media release conference for Yikaida® China's first lymphoma efficacy-based payment plan was held in Shanghai. The plan, jointly launched by Fosun Kite and Medi Cover under Sinopharm Group Co., Ltd., aims to alleviate the treatment difficulties faced by refractory lymphoma patients through an innovative payment method based on therapeutic outcomes.
It is reported that this program will provide China's first innovative payment model for lymphoma drugs based on efficacy value. Yikaita® will also become the first bio-innovative drug in China to be paid based on efficacy value. Relying on the exclusive platform of the "Yi同行, 愈可及" project jointly created by Fosun Kite and Medi Cover, eligible patients can join the program for free as project members and activate their efficacy assurance rights by completing the single collection process. Three months after purchasing the drug and receiving the infusion, patients will undergo an efficacy evaluation. If complete remission (CR) is not achieved, patients may receive a refund of up to 600,000 yuan.
The program will strictly evaluate the complete response (CR) results according to the "2014 Lugano Classification" (the latest international authoritative standard for lymphoma efficacy assessment). Fosun Kite Biotechnology Co., Ltd. will collaborate with various parties, including clinical experts, the National Health Commission, and treatment demonstration centers among other government and medical institutions, to jointly explore and establish a "cure" standard.
Qi Yuanyuan, the project leader of Fosun Kite, believes that this initiative establishes a solid foundation for the therapeutic value of Yikaida® for patients and fully demonstrates the company’s strong confidence in the product’s quality and efficacy.
"We have launched the 'Yi同行, 愈可及' project, hoping that it can effectively boost patients' confidence in using Yikaida for treatment, eliminate their concerns, enable more patients to start necessary treatment sooner, and ultimately help more patients achieve a cure," said Wang Zhengjue, Deputy General Manager of the Innovation Center of Sinopharm Group Co., Ltd.
As the first CAR-T cell therapy product approved in China, Yikaida® has ushered in the inaugural year of CAR-T treatment in China, achieving a breakthrough from "0" to "1" in the domestic cell therapy field. It has also become the only CAR-T cell therapy product in China approved for second-line indications.
Chairman of Fosun Kite, Zhang Wenjie, stated that in the future, the company will strive to make more explorations and breakthroughs for the cell therapy industry in China and even globally. With Fosun Kite's creativity and vitality, it will contribute "Chinese wisdom" and "Chinese solutions" to the advancement of the global biopharmaceutical field.
