China Securities News (reported by Li Mengyang) -- On the afternoon of January 11, the media release conference for Yikai Da's first lymphoma efficacy-based payment plan in China was held in Shanghai. It was reported that Yikai Da’s first lymphoma efficacy-based payment plan in China was jointly launched by Fosun Kite Biotechnology Co., Ltd. and Medi Cover, a health management and patient comprehensive service platform under Sinopharm Holding. The aim is to alleviate the treatment difficulties faced by refractory lymphoma patients through an innovative payment method based on therapeutic efficacy. This plan will be China's first innovative payment model for lymphoma drugs based on efficacy value, and Yikai Da will become China's first bio-innovative drug paid based on efficacy value.

According to the introduction, relying on the project-exclusive platform jointly built by Fosun Kite and Medi Cover, patients who meet the project criteria can join the project as members for free. After enrollment, they can activate their benefits by completing the single collection process, thereby initiating the efficacy assurance benefits. Three months after purchasing the drug and receiving the infusion, patients will undergo an efficacy evaluation. If complete remission (CR) is not achieved, patients may receive a refund of up to 600,000 yuan.

Qi Yuanyuan, the project leader of Fosun Kite, stated that the value-based payment plan for efficacy provides a solid guarantee for patients using Yikaida and fully demonstrates the company's firm confidence in product quality and therapeutic value.

Professor Xuan Jianwei, Director of the Institute of Pharmaceutical Economics at Sun Yat-sen University School of Pharmacy, stated: "The performance-based payment plan for Yikaida, China's first CAR-T drug for lymphoma, provides an innovative solution for market access and payment methods for 'high-value drugs' with curative potential. This initiative involves collaboration among multiple parties, including the government, medical institutions, experts, and patients, to jointly explore a pay-for-performance model and establish industry standards, which will help drive the transformation of the healthcare industry towards value-based care."
