Developer of CAR-T Cell Therapies for Solid Tumors
Shenzhen Xiankangda Life Science Co., Ltd. has officially launched the first "off-the-shelf" NK cell (PANK-003) therapy clinical trial for solid tumors in collaboration with Anyang Cancer Hospital, aiming to provide safer and more effective treatment options for patients with solid tumors, improve treatment outcomes, and enhance the quality of life for patients.
On January 29, the first clinical trial of Shenzhen Xiankangda Life Science Co., Ltd.'s "off-the-shelf" NK cell (PANK-003) combined with standard adjuvant chemotherapy after surgery for the treatment of solid tumors was successfully launched at Anyang Tumor Hospital. The launch meeting was chaired by the project's Principal Investigator (PI), Li Baozhong, Dean and Chief Physician of Anyang Tumor Hospital. Zhang Yaowen, Vice President of Anyang Tumor Hospital, Liu Yazhou, Clinical Operations Director of Xiankangda Group, and the clinical research teams from both parties attended the meeting.

At the launch meeting, Dean Libaozhong expressed high expectations for the prospects of "off-the-shelf" NK cell therapy. He stated that Anyang Tumor Hospital, as a well-known tumor specialty hospital in China, has always been committed to exploring new treatment methods and means to provide better medical services for the vast number of cancer patients. The cooperation with Shenzhen Xiankangda Life Science Co., Ltd. to carry out the PANK-003 clinical trial is another significant measure in the field of solid tumor treatment. The hospital will equip a professional medical team and advanced instruments to provide strong support for the smooth progress of the project. It is expected that in the near future, PANK-003 combined with standard adjuvant chemotherapy after surgery will become a new option for postoperative adjuvant treatment for solid tumor patients, bringing them better therapeutic effects and quality of life.
Subsequently, Director Liu Yazhou reviewed the hardships and achievements on the R&D journey of Shenzhen Xiankangda Life Science Co., Ltd. in NK and CAR-NK cell therapies, expressing full affirmation for the preliminary research results of the "off-the-shelf" NK cell therapy. He stated that the smooth launch of this project is a strong testament to the company’s scientific research capabilities and innovation strength, and also marks a further improvement in the R&D system layout of Xiankangda Life. Xiankangda Life will spare no effort and closely collaborate with the clinical research team at Anyang Tumor Hospital to jointly advance the smooth progress of this project. Through the efforts of both parties, the PANK-003 combined with postoperative standard adjuvant chemotherapy project will undoubtedly yield positive clinical data, benefiting more cancer patients.
Finally, the teams from both sides conducted in-depth and detailed discussions and exchanges on the specific implementation plan and schedule of the clinical trial. All participants expressed that they would fully leverage their respective professional and resource advantages while maintaining close communication and collaboration to ensure the smooth progress and complete success of the project.
PANK-003 is a homologous allogeneic NK cell preparation independently developed by Shenzhen Xiankangda Life Science Co., Ltd. using a pure cytokine culture method, with a stable purity of over 95% and no risk of GvHD. The source of PANK-003 is the peripheral blood of healthy adults aged 18-30. Unlike NK cells from other sources, it highly expresses CD16 and NKG2D, demonstrating higher cytotoxic activity against tumor cells. Additionally, better killing effects can be achieved through inhibitory KIR-HLA mismatches between recipients and donors.
The project launched this time is a single-center, single-arm, dose-escalation clinical trial. Its main purpose is to evaluate the safety and tolerability of multiple injections of PANK-003 combined with standard adjuvant chemotherapy after surgery in patients with solid tumors, determine the maximum tolerated dose and the recommended dose for subsequent treatment. The applicable population is patients undergoing standard adjuvant chemotherapy after surgery for solid tumors. Previously, the project had been approved by the Ethics Committee of Anyang Cancer Hospital.
Xiankangda Life is the core subsidiary of Xiankangda Group, a national high-tech enterprise in China that focuses on the research and industrialization of cellular immunotherapy for solid tumors.
