CAR-T Cell Immunotherapy R&D Provider

Recently (January 30), Kite, a subsidiary of Gilead Sciences, announced that the U.S. FDAProduction of Yescarta has been approved.ProcessChange, thereby shortening the production time of Yescarta.
After obtaining approval, the median turnaround time (TAT) in the United States is expected to decrease from 16 days to 14 days, a reduction of 2 days.
The steps for CAR-T therapy are: leukapheresis - transport to a specialized manufacturing facility - production (including T-cell enrichment, activation, transfection, expansion, etc.) - product release testing - cryopreservation - transport to the treatment center - patient reinfusion. The entire process takes approximately 2 to 4 weeks.
The median TAT is defined as the time from leukapheresis (collection of patient T cells) to product release.
After the production process of Yescarta received approval for changes, the delivery time was shortened, offering greater survival opportunities for patients with rapidly progressing relapsed/refractory large B-cell lymphoma.Industry experts unanimously believe that,ShortenYescartaOfDelivery time canBetter serve patients.
Currently, more than 17,700 patients worldwide have received CAR-T therapy through Kite-authorized treatment centers (ATC); Yescarta boasts a 96% manufacturing success rate, and as production time in the U.S. decreases, Kite will continue to expand Yescarta's reach.
Currently, the indications for CAR-T therapy are mostly aggressive and rapidly progressing malignant tumors. Shortening the production and delivery time of CAR-T can provide patients with greater survival opportunities.
Secondly, as a "living cell" drug, reducing the time in the production and manufacturing process of CAR-T therapy may enhance the activity of cellular therapy, thereby improving the therapeutic effect.
This is also the reason for many rapid production and preparation CAR-T projects nowadays.
