TokyoFebruary 22, 2024PR Newswire -- Eisai Co., Ltd. announced that it has been selected for the "2023 Human Capital Survey" conducted jointly by the HR Technology Consortium, HR Research Institute (ProFuture Inc.), and MS&AD InterRisk Research & Consulting, Inc., and has won the "2023 Human Capital Leadership Award" and the "Human Capital Management Gold Quality Award."
In the "2023 Human Capital Survey" (conducted from September to December 2023), participated by nearly 500 companies and institutions, 16 were awarded the "Gold Award for Human Capital Management" for their outstanding performance, and another eight were recognized as "2023 Human Capital Leadership Award" by experts for their significant contributions. Eisai Partially Amended the Company’s Articles of Incorporation at the 2022 Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders, adding "Respect for Human Rights and Diversity," "Provision of Sufficient Development Opportunities to Support Self-Actualization," and "Creation of an Employee-Friendly Environment" to the previously stipulated "Ensuring Stable Employment." The company also strengthened its human resources measures by establishing a "Comprehensive Human Resources Strategy" with pillars including "Employee Benefits (including health)," "Diversified Work Styles," "Employee Development and Growth," and "Organizational and Business Growth." In 2023, Eisai introduced a role-based compensation system and a personnel evaluation system that places high importance on employee initiatives, aiming to encourage employees' autonomous growth and motivate them to take on higher positions. Additionally, in July 2023, Eisai released the "2023 Human Capital Report," summarizing human capital measures and key performance indicators related to its human resources strategy.
