Previously,EVAHEART I is the only artificial heart in China that has dual indications for both short-term and long-term treatment. It is also the first domestically produced artificial heart product approved for marketing in China.It was approved for marketing in China in August 2019, and received approval for marketing in Japan and Europe in 2010 and 2012 respectively. Meanwhile, it also obtained IDE recognition in the United States.

EVAHEART I Left Ventricular Assist Device
EVAHEART I is not a magnetically levitated heart but instead adoptsThe Third-Generation Centrifugal Left Ventricular Assist System with Hydrodynamic Suspension Technology.This innovative hydrodynamic suspension system allows the impeller system of the artificial heart to be suspended in water, isolating blood from the bearings, thereby reducing damage to blood cells and preventing strokes. With an impeller speed of only 1600-1800 rpm, it significantly reduces blood damage. The exclusive biomimetic MPC coating simulates vascular endothelial cells, minimizing thrombus formation and preventing blood clots. Most notably, EVAHEART generates pulsatile blood flow with a pulse pressure difference of 20-30 mmHg, while also reducing risks such as right heart failure and valve damage.
EVAHEART is designed with a lifespan of up to 30 years,Currently, the longest-supported patient using EVAHEART abroad has been using it for over 10 years. In China, the longest-surviving patient has reached 5 years, and the 1-year postoperative survival rate of clinical trial patients is 100%.
EVA-Pulsar
Compared with EVAHEART I,The important update of EVA-Pulsar mainly lies in the optimization and improvement of the flow channel.It adopts the fourth-generation hydraulic suspension technology, completely eliminating the redundant and narrow secondary flow channel, significantly reducing the risk of blood damage. The narrowest part of the flow channel is 16mm wide, which represents a 60-400 times improvement compared to the secondary flow channels of other products made in China.
Moreover, in terms of volume and weight, EVA-Pulsar has also achieved a revolutionary improvement.Thanks to the optimization of the drive system and flow channel design, the volume of EVA-Pulsar has been significantly reduced, weighing only 260g, which is 64% of EVAHEART I.
It is worth noting that, despite the reduction in size of EVA-Pulsar, there has been no compromise in performance. Like EVAHEART I, it utilizes a biomimetic polymer MPC coating that resists thrombosis. The 20L/min high blood flow meets the physiological needs of patients, and compared to other products with speeds exceeding 4000rpm, the blood pump speed of EVAHEART is only about 1600-2200rpm. This lower speed effectively reduces shear stress on the blood from the impeller rotation, significantly...Reduce its destruction to the blood.

However, these products are only approved for short-term transitional treatment. According to the technical evaluation report on the website of the Center for Medical Device Evaluation of the National Medical Products Administration, the short-term transitional LVAD products are evaluated for clinical safety and effectiveness over a period of 3 months, and patients surviving with the device for 3 months are considered to have met the standard.

Corheart 6, developed by Core Medical, is the world's smallest and lightest full magnetic levitation centrifugal left ventricular assist system with the longest battery life.As of now, Corheart® 6 has achieved numerous industry breakthroughs:Implanted in over 120 patients, ranking first in China for the number of implants and achieving the most clinical applications in the country; completed clinical enrollment in 159 days, breaking the industry's clinical speed record.

In Terms of Blood Pump Technology, This Product Utilizes Third-Generation Non-Contact Magnetic Levitation Centrifugal...Pump,The core technology is mainly the disc motor technology, which uses position sensors to detect and control the rotor's speed and suspension height. The product's motor only uses one set of stator coils to simultaneously control the rotor’s rotation and suspension, featuring a simpler structure, lighter weight, smaller size, and lower power consumption. In clinical applications, the surgical incision is smaller, patient recovery is faster, the applicable population is wider, and it can reduce the risk of thrombosis caused by blood pump heat.

At the same time, the range of people suitable for the product has been further expanded.Can be applied to high-risk patient groups such as children and overweight individuals.In addition, the lightweight design of Corheart 6 can reduce gravitational traction on the myocardium, minimize mechanical interference with reverse myocardial remodeling, and is more conducive to cardiac recovery treatment.

At present, artificial hearts are divided into two types: total artificial hearts and ventricular assist devices.
