It was reported that at the recently held 2024 Shanghai Biopharmaceutical Industry International Development Conference, AstraZeneca further deepened its layout in China and officially announced that Shanghai would become its fifth global strategic center.
 

In the future, Shanghai, China will become another global strategic center for AstraZeneca, integrating R&D, commercial operations, and production, in addition to its four major R&D-focused strategic centers: Cambridge in the UK, Boston and Gaithersburg in the US, and Gothenburg in Sweden.
