Precision Medicine Solution Provider

On December 28, Shell University alumni enterprise — AliveX Biotech announced the completion of an angel round of financing worth tens of millions of yuan. This round of financing was led by Five Source Capital (formerly Morningside Venture Capital), with Cherubic Ventures following the investment. The proceeds of this round of financing will be mainly used to advance the development of the existing product pipeline, continuously optimize the AI + systems immunology technology platform, and further expand industry-university-research cooperation both in China and internationally.

AliveX Biotech, established in January 2019, is the first innovative biotechnology company in China to apply AI + systems immunology in clinical settings. Driven by an AI + systems immunology technology platform, it independently develops multi-omics diagnostic products and precise diagnosis-treatment solutions for various clinical scenarios, while providing biomarker-guided new drug development services to pharmaceutical companies.

"AliveX Biotech is leveraging leading AI + systems immunology technology to decode immunity. By utilizing a deeply integrated industry-academia-research R&D model, the company analyzes multi-omics data to fundamentally enhance the understanding of the human immune system and diseases, bringing tremendous value to the future development of precision medicine," said Wen Wen, Founder and CEO of AliveX Biotech. "We are very grateful for the trust and support from 5Y Capital and Cherubic Ventures. The company and our investors share a consistent vision and confidence in the broad application prospects of artificial intelligence and immunology in life sciences. We are honored to join hands in advancing towards the future of life sciences. Through this round of financing, we are confident in establishing an international leading position in the field of AI + systems immunology technology, supporting the R&D of next-generation precision medicine."

Reportedly, by combining artificial intelligence technology with the highly specialized field of systems immunology, AliveX Biotech has innovatively developed a world-leading AI + systems immunology technology platform. Specifically, AliveX Biotech utilizes multi-dimensional data, including public databases, literature mining, proprietary clinical immune data, and multi-omics experimental platform data, to build a human immune knowledge graph and big data platform. The latter can aggregate large-scale multi-omics immune data—including interactions and network regulation among cells, genes, and proteins—based on different clinical issues. Subsequently, its built-in machine learning algorithms analyze and predict the interactions and operational states of patients' immune systems, as well as their systemic responses to diseases and drugs. This process helps uncover intrinsic associations and biomarkers among "human body-disease-drug" relationships, which are then used to conduct various in-depth research and experimental validations.

At this stage, AliveX Biotech mainly relies on its platform technology advantages to collaborate with Class A tertiary hospitals in the form of scientific research. It conducts cooperative research with authoritative clinical experts on various clinical pain points and establishes an in-depth industry-university-research collaboration mechanism to promote the product transformation of high-quality research results, forming a research and development model that combines basic research, applied research, and technological innovation. Currently, AliveX Biotech has established deep cooperative relationships with 30 leading domestic and international research institutions, including the PLA General Hospital, China-Japan Friendship Hospital, West China Hospital of Sichuan University, the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhengzhou University, the University of Oxford, Tsinghua University, and Shanghai Jiao Tong University, accumulating tens of thousands of clinical immunology data across different disease areas.

Currently, AliveX Biotech is gradually building a diagnostic product system based on the "AI + systems immunology" technology platform and continuously expanding its collaboration projects with pharmaceutical companies. In terms of diagnostic products, AliveX Biotech has already laid out more than ten R&D pipelines in areas such as early diagnosis, treatment and efficacy evaluation, and toxicity prediction for diseases like cancer. Multiple multicenter clinical validations are currently underway, with some diagnostic products expected to enter the certification process next year. Regarding collaborations with pharmaceutical enterprises, AliveX Biotech is conducting joint R&D with several biotech companies both domestically and internationally, primarily focusing on Phase I and II clinical studies of immunotherapy drugs.
