February 29, 2024 / eMedClub News /--2In December 2023, TCR-T cell therapy pioneer Adaptimmune announced the completion of the rolling submission of the Biologics License Application (BLA) to the U.S. FDA for its TCR-T cell therapy Afami-cel, intended for the treatment of advanced synovial sarcoma. The candidate product meets the criteria for priority review and is expected to be approved in Q3 2024. Therefore,The TCR-T track is highly likely to witness a major milestone event this year.
In China, this field is also highly competitive, with over 20 companies entering the market. Several companies already have candidate products in the clinical stage. This article summarizes 12 TCR-T companies that already have products in clinical trials (including IIT) or have explicitly stated they are about to enter clinical trials, along with their latest progress (the ranking is not in any particular order; if there are any omissions, please feel free to add them. If a product has multiple clinical trials, the fastest progress is selected), in order to provide an overview of the domestic competitive landscape.

Currently, most companies in the TCR-T space have already entered IIT or clinical trials, with the fastest having advanced to Phase 2 clinical trials. In terms of targets, there are relatively more NY-ESO-1 and viral antigens, but overall, it remains diversified. The types of indications targeted are also quite varied, and it is still a period of healthy competition and innovative development. In the field of solid tumors, there is a trend reminiscent of "the sky is high and the birds can fly freely, the sea is wide and the fish can leap at will," filled with numerous possibilities.
