On March 7, GSK (GSK) announced positive interim analysis results from the Phase III head-to-head trial (DREAMM-7), which evaluatedBlenrep(belantamab mafodotin) in combination withPomalidomide+Dexamethasone(PomDex) vs. Standard TreatmentBortezomib+ PomDex for Relapsed or Refractory Multiple Myeloma(R/R MM)The efficacy of second-line and later treatments. In a pre-specified interim analysis, the trial met its primary endpoint of progression-free survival (PFS).

Compared with the standard treatment combination, the Blenrep combination therapy significantly prolonged the time to disease progression or death. A positive overall survival (OS) trend favoring Blenrep combination therapy was also observed at the time of this analysis. The trial will continue follow-up. The safety and tolerability of the Blenrep regimen are generally consistent with the known safety profiles of the individual drugs.
This study is the second head-to-head combination Phase III trial for Blenrep in the second-line and later treatment of MM, following the previous BlenrepThe Phase III DREAMM-7 study for second-line treatment of R/R MM also achieved positive interim results.And with daratumumab (Daratumumab) Combined with BorDex (Bortezomib + Dexamethasone),BlenrepCombined treatment with BorDex can significantly extend the time to disease progression or death for patients.(Recommended reading:BCMA ADC Head-to-Head Daratumumab in Treatment of Multiple Myeloma Successful in Phase III Trial)
