Kaidi Medical Completes World's First Infusion of Innovative Dual-Targeting CAR-T Therapy KD-496 in a Pancreatic Cancer Patient

This study (NCT06134960) is an investigator-initiated (IIT) clinical trial, the main purpose of which is to evaluate the safety and efficacy of KD-496 CAR-T in treating advanced NKG2DL+/CLDN18.2+ solid tumors in a single-center, open-label, single-arm clinical study.

Currently, the treatment of pancreatic cancer still primarily relies on surgery, combined with adjuvant therapies such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and targeted therapy. Due to the lack of specific clinical symptoms in the early stages of pancreatic cancer, it is often discovered at an advanced stage, with about...80%Patients who have lost the opportunity for surgical resection at the time of consultation, overall5The survival rate is less than6%, the lowest among all cancers, even for patients undergoing radical surgery.5The survival rate is less than25%. There is an urgent need to develop various new therapies to break the existing treatment bottleneck.Gastric cancer is another common digestive system tumor. Gastric cancer is a malignant tumor originating from the epithelial cells of the gastric mucosa. It is one of the most common cancers in China, with more than 400,000 new cases each year. Its incidence and mortality rates rank among the top five of all malignant tumors in China. Despite recent advancements in the treatment of gastric cancer, the prognosis for patients with advanced gastric cancer remains very poor.
