Gelonghui April 19 | French pharmaceutical company Sanofi announced that it will reorganize its vaccine commercial operations in the United States and announced layoffs. Sanofi stated that it will implement a "streamlined strategic sales structure" to better support its customers and patients, but did not disclose any details, including the changes to be made, timeframes, or the number of employees affected. Last October, Sanofi CEO Paul Hudson unexpectedly abandoned the 2025 profit margin target in favor of increasing drug development spending. Since then, he has been working to build investor confidence in the company's drug pipeline. The company’s vaccine portfolio includes preventive vaccines for common respiratory infections in infants, flu vaccines, COVID vaccines, as well as vaccines for infections such as meningitis and tetanus.
