According to the 21st Century Business Herald, PRG1801, a BCMA-targeted CAR-T cell drug developed by Pregene for the treatment of relapsed and refractory multiple myeloma, is the fastest-progressing cell drug globally using chimeric humanized nanobodies. It was approved by China's Center for Drug Evaluation in March 2020 and has now entered Phase II clinical trials.
PRG1801 Shows Significant Efficacy and Good Safety. According to follow-up data from 34 patients who received PRG1801, the ORR (Objective Response Rate) was as high as 88%, and the 18-month OS (Overall Survival) was 76.5%. In the registrational clinical trial, the ORR among 15 treated subjects reached 100%. More importantly, although CAR-T therapy is associated with relatively higher neurotoxicity and AE mortality rates, no significant safety issues were observed during the follow-up of PRG1801.
