The HK-SZ ITP plays a crucial role in the innovation and technology development of Hong Kong, and the Futian/Shenzhen River Delta area will become a key region for Hong Kong-Shenzhen innovation and technology, transcending geographical restrictions with the Chinese mainland. He pointed out that the HK-SZ ITP will help attract talent and investment, and Hong Kong is well-positioned to promote new quality productive forces. Going forward, the government will continue to collaborate with Shenzhen to provide more cross-border facilitation measures for partners within the innovation and technology park. The Hetao Cooperation Zone is located in the cross-border area between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, boasting a unique collaborative development advantage with its "one zone, two parks" model, which includes the 87-hectare Hong Kong Park (i.e., the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park) and the 300-hectare Shenzhen Park. The Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park in the Lok Ma Chau Hetao Area spans 87 hectares and is the only innovation and technology park in Hong Kong directly connected to Shenzhen. It focuses on six key industries: life and health technology, artificial intelligence and data science, new energy, new materials, microelectronics, and robotics. At the launch ceremony, around 60 enterprise representatives signed a memorandum of understanding, officially becoming partners of the Hong Kong-Shenzhen Innovation and Technology Park, marking an important milestone as the park prepares to enter the operational phase.
